What to Expect

The Richmond Park Polo Academy has sessions that will make this your perfect summer of polo.

Confident rider who has always wanted to learn polo? Seasoned player looking to play regularly and improve your skills?

Mounted on our exceptional polo ponies, and led by our expert coaches, you’ll learn through instructional chukkas and carefully designed technique work that builds skill, confidence and game understanding.

Schedule

From late April to the end of the summer, we run four sessions per week for beginners and four sessions per week for more advanced players. The sessions times are as follows:

Tuesday & Thursdays

Advanced players

18:00 - 19:00

Beginners

19:00 - 20:00

Saturday & Sundays

Advanced players

15:00 - 16:00

Beginners

16:00 - 17:00

PLEASE NOTE: To attend the academy you must already be a confident rider.
If you’re looking to learn to ride, please contact Lucy@richmondparkpolo.com who can introduce you to our sister riding school.

How to book a session

Club members can book academy sessions online, priced at £150 per session.

Sessions may be booked on an ad hoc basis, or you may choose to secure your place for the full season in advance. Players who book the full season will be invited to a special event such as an away day, an exclusive clubhouse gathering, or an end-of-season asado.

  • WELCOME-TO-POLO DAYS

    If you’re a confident rider but have never really played polo, do come along to one of our one-off polo induction days. They’ll run prior to and throughout the season, and are perfect for those just looking for a taster of the sport, or who need a brief induction before deciding on joining the academy. These sessions are open to non-members, and will be bookable online soon, at a price of £295.
